OUR MISSION STATEMENT:
The Sensible Sages is here to recognize and engage the neglected wisdom and talents of senior minds by using them in projects that benefit society.
WHO WE ARE:
We are a group of mature creative thinkers who are concerned that too many experienced and productive minds are being wasted. We are a non-profit “Think Tank” who come together to discover opportunities to challenge and find positive direction for the creative wit and wisdom of the special knowledge that age and experience has bestowed upon our members.
ESTABLISHED PROJECTS:
The Sensible Sages have always believed that improving medical support for the entire Los Angeles Community is a vital part of our mission.
“SAGE MEDICAL REFERRALS”: One of the first projects The Sensible Sages undertook is now well underway. Initiated buy our Board Member, Dr. Marshall Grode, the Sages enlisted the Sherry Lansing Foundation, The MAVEN Project and University of California Health Services, to bring highly specialized medical consultations to the Free Clinics in Los Angeles. Valued “Specialists”, in many medical fields, donate time to this service and through the good offices of the MAVEN Project, are connected to Free Clinic Doctors , donating free consultations in complex medical cases.
